Our Process

1

Initial Consultation

We visit your home, meet your team, assess your resident numbers and needs, and agree a testing schedule.

2

Resident Records Setup

We create individual eye care records for each resident, including medical history, mobility notes, and communication preferences.

3

Scheduled Testing Days

Our optometrist arrives with all equipment. We work room by room, keeping disruption to a minimum. Each test takes 30–45 minutes.

4

Results & Glasses

Results are shared with you and the resident's GP (with consent). Glasses are ordered, delivered, and fitted on a return visit.

5

Ongoing Care

Annual re-testing is scheduled automatically. Emergency appointments available for sudden vision changes or lost/broken glasses.

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • All optometrists hold enhanced DBS certificates
  • Full public liability and professional indemnity insurance
  • Infection control protocols aligned with CQC standards
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005 trained for consent issues
  • GDPR compliant data handling and resident record keeping
